The body of Caroline Bump of Millville was discovered on the side of Glenside Road at around 1:39 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said in a news release. The 21-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said neighborhood surveillance video showed Bump was struck at around 11:11 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. Her body was found more than two hours later by a passing driver.
Prosecutors said investigators wanted to talk to 22-year-old Breanna Rowley of Vineland. They didn't mention what her connection was with the crash.
Police were trying to find a silver 2003 Infiniti G35 with the New Jersey license plate E41RLB. The car was believed to have damage to the driver’s side headlight, windshield, and front bumper.
Anyone with information about the investigation, the wanted car, or Rowley should call the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-579-1431.
